Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

No Drama Koala Tutoring ("we", "us", "our") provides online maths tutoring services for students in Years 7-10 across Australia. By booking a session and completing payment, you ("parent", "guardian", "you") agree to these terms and conditions.

2. Enrolment & Onboarding

  • Upon booking, your subscription is set up via Stripe. Your first weekly payment ($35) is charged on your student's first lesson day.
  • Students must complete all onboarding tasks (including the initial discovery check-in on Mathspace) before attending their first live session.
  • The Zoom session link will only be provided to the student once onboarding is marked as complete.
  • We reserve the right to delay a student's first session by one week if onboarding is not completed in time.

3. Payment & Billing

  • $35/week, billed weekly. Your first payment is charged at 10am AEDT on your student's first lesson day. Subscriptions renew automatically every week from that date.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew weekly from the first session date. Cancel anytime before your next billing date.
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Your card details never touch our servers.
  • Prices are in Australian Dollars (AUD) and inclusive of GST where applicable.

4. Cancellation Policy

  • To cancel or make changes to your subscription (including plan changes and session day adjustments), please contact us at help@nodramakoala.com any time before your next billing date. Your student will retain access until the end of the current paid week.
  • To avoid being charged for the next week, cancellations must be submitted before your next billing date.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of a renewal date will still be charged for that cycle. No refunds are provided for the current billing period.
  • No refunds are provided for missed sessions or incomplete attendance during a paid period.

5. Sessions & Attendance

  • Live sessions run weekly at the selected timeslot. Sessions are not recorded.
  • If a student misses a session, there is no make-up session or recording available. The weekly adaptive task and skills check remain accessible.
  • Sessions run continuously throughout the year, including during school holidays, to maintain learning momentum. Our tutoring year runs from late January through mid-December. Your subscription and billing continue through school holiday periods unless cancelled in accordance with the cancellation policy above.
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule sessions due to public holidays, tutor unavailability, or unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified in advance and no charge will apply for cancelled sessions.

6. Weekly Program Expectations

  • Each week, students are expected to complete an adaptive practice task (due Thursday evening, 11:59pm) and a skills check-in (due Sunday evening, 11:59pm) via Mathspace.
  • These deadlines enable the tutor to review progress and prepare targeted instruction for the next live session.
  • Completion of weekly tasks is the student's responsibility. We encourage students to stay on top of their practice as it directly supports their progress. If tasks are consistently incomplete, we may reach out to discuss how we can help.

7. Communication

  • Students will be assigned a @nodramakoala.com email alias for use with Mathspace and program communications. This alias forwards to the student's personal or school email address provided at enrolment.
  • Parents/guardians will be CC'd on all correspondence sent to the student.

8. Privacy & Data

  • We collect and store parent/guardian contact details, student name, and email addresses for the purpose of delivering our tutoring services.
  • Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe and is never stored on our servers.
  • Student learning data is stored within Mathspace and is used solely to inform tutoring instruction.
  • We do not share personal information with third parties except as required to deliver our services (Stripe for payments, Mathspace for learning, Zoom for sessions).
  • Zoom sessions are conducted with Enhanced Encryption enabled. Sessions are not recorded.

9. Session Format & Group Composition

  • Live sessions are delivered in a small-group format. Group sizes may vary from week to week depending on enrolment and attendance. We aim to keep groups small to ensure each student receives meaningful attention, but individual instruction time is not guaranteed.
  • The tutor reserves the right to adjust session content, pacing, and approach based on professional judgement and the needs of the group. This may include modifying the weekly program structure where appropriate.

10. Liability

  • No Drama Koala Tutoring provides supplementary educational support. We do not guarantee specific academic outcomes or results.
  • We are not liable for any technical issues with third-party platforms (Zoom, Mathspace, Stripe) that may affect service delivery.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring their student has appropriate supervision and a suitable learning environment during online sessions.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We will notify you of any material changes via email.
